Having an issue with file permissions on our Lion server. We are running 10.7.2

There are 3 of us working off of the server, all running Windows 7.

Whenever I open files off of the server, they open correctly and smoothly every time. However, when my co-workers open files, occasionally they get the message:

"Example.docx is open for editing by 'another user.' Do you want to:
Open a read only copy
Create a local copy and merge your changes later
Receive notification when the original copy is available"

The files are not open by anyone else at the time that they're getting this message. Also, the message appears sporadically (e.g. they'll open a document, get the message, close, reopen, and get no message), and the same document will give them the message sometimes but not others. It's something we've been working around, but it's driving me crazy. Has anyone had the same issue? Any help would be very appreciated.
