I’m a writer working with a division of International Data Group (IDG) developing marketing material that helps promote Apple Specialists. Briefly, I’m writing short profiles of people who use Macs in SMB settings not usually associated with Macs. In other words, I’m not writing profiles of people working on design, video, and other media creation tasks.

Rather, I’m profiling people working in industries such as pharmaceuticals, finance, aerospace, and manufacturing. Places where one would expect to find Windows machines, but may be surprised to find Mac users.

The hope is these profiles will illustrate why these Mac users love their Macs, and how using a Mac in a predominantly-Windows environment does not create a problem for the company and in fact can improve productivity. I figure who better to ask for leads to potential profile candidates than the denizens of MacWindows? We’re looking for people at businesses with from ten to 500 employees, and who are enthusiastic about both their job and their Mac.

Are you someone, or do you know some, I could interview for a possible profile? I only need about fifteen minutes of their time. If you fit the profile, feel free to contact me. If you know someone who fits the profile, feel free to invite them to contact me.

A deadline is, of course, looming. So I greatly appreciate any help you can provide soon.

I know I’m asking for a big favor in a short email. So if you have any questions or want any more information, feel free to contact me.

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Jim Feeley
