i connect to my vpn through system preferences, network, and select my vpn connection on my mac

once connected; i cant connect to my server on my network on my mac.

if i go to my windows side (using parallels) it is connected and i can browse my server there.

am i doing something wrong?

it is a pain when i am using a windows program print something to adobe (my 'my documents' folder is on my server and that where i like to save all my documents so they are backed up) but then need to email the same document, my email is on the mac side, so i cant get to the document.
