I have a SBS2011 server with a home share. \\servername\home$\userdir
The Mac is running 10.6.8, fully updated, and is joined to the domain.
The server's AD schema has been extended for Mac.
Office 2011 with all current updates applied (and tested with each update along the way)
Outlook will crash when connected to an Exchange account from the SBS or an IMAP account from a Surgemail box.
The network is GB on HP/3Com managed switches and the machine crashes with both wired and wireless connections.

So I map the home drive for the user within AD.
Everything works fine, but then Outlook 2011 will start crashing more and more as the user receives more email. This is the first user under this configuration and her Outlook was fine for the first few days. At this point I can't add the Exchange account without Outlook crashing before getting out of preferences. I've replaced the Mac-mini with an iMac and get the same issue.

The NIC shows zero errors. The system.log doesn't indicate much. Time is in sync with the server. I've gone through a mess of SMB connection troubleshooting notes and solutions from this site.

I'm sure it's the Office Identities folder that is causing the issue, having it on SMB is causing outlook the grief. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and what they've done to solve it. I can't find anything regarding this issue but I can't believe I'd be the only one that's tried this.

Help!

Oh yea, and I've since removed the redirected home folder and have her storing locally with no issues at all.
