Mac 10.6.x client is successfully joined (taking 5 to 7 mintues to join) to the Windows Server 2008 based domain. But it’s taking too much time (approx. 5 to 7 minutes) to shows the “Other” option (using that, log on by AD user) in login window on Mac client.

Has anyone idea, why is it taking that long time.

It depends on how you are connected. If you are using ethernet only the login should be quick. If it's wireless or a combination that can slow things down considerably. A trick I use to speed up login on mobile users is disconnect all network interfaces on logout. I use mobile accounts cached to the drive. Doing this uses cached credentials and allows a fast login. I would try checking what dc you are connected to if you have more than one. I use
sudo net -P ads info
