| Post subject: | Incorrect Bootcamp Video Driver on 13" MacBook Air |
System: MacBook Air (Late 2010) 2.13 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 256 GB split between Windows and Snow Leopard: Nvidia GeForce 320M Bootcamp 3.2 and Parallels 6 (Booted in Bootcamp) Windows 7 Professional 32-bit Observed Two minor Problems: 1) Max Resolution - 1200 x 800 (down from 1400 x 900). 2) Hibernate & Sleep Unavailable due to legacy driver "vgasave". Problems resolved. Re-installed Bootcamp 3.2 32-bit and tried reinstalling which failed trying to install an "ATI" video driver. The original Nvidia driver had been flagged by Windows 7 (reason unknown). I manually disabled the driver. After disabling the Nvidia driver, I reenabled the driver and rebooted. The Max Resolution is now again 1400 x 900 and Hibernate and Sleep (Standby) are now active. Appears perhaps the "ATI" drivers caused the initial problem with Windows enabling the Nvidia driver so the system fell back to the vgasave driver. Re-enabling the Nvidia driver somehow fixed the problem. |
