Tomorrow at Macworld Expo, CodeWeavers will announce the release of CrossOver and CrossOver Games10, which are now also called CrossOver Impersonator. The new version provides 1-click installation of thousands of Windows files in Mac OS X using a feature called CrossTie. CrossOver enables Windows applications to run natively in Mac OS X and Linux, without the use of Windows itself.
Version 10 also supports hundreds of additional Windows applications. CodeWeavers generally tweaks new versions of CrossOver to enable specific Windows applications to run. With this 10.0 release, "more and more applications are simply starting to run out of the box," said a CodeWeavers spokesperson.
