Exchange mail may not show up in Mountain Lion

Apple states that the built-in Mail client in Mountain Lion may not display messages in the Exchange inbox. Exchange mailboxes also "may not appear as expected." The problem seems to occur when Mail when you click another mailbox while checking for Exchange messages.

Apple's workaround is to quit and relaunch Mail, check for Exchange messages, and refrain from clicking on another mailbox until Mail finishes downloading.
