Add-in enables Time Machine backup to Windows Home Server

Orbital Technologies has released a free add-in to Mac OS X that enables Time Machine to back up to Windows Home Server 2011, Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials, or Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials. Orbital Backup Configuration works with Mac OS X 10.6.x Snow Leopard only, and is not compatible with Leopard or Lion.

Ordinarily, Time Machine requires an AFP file server to back up to. Windows servers only support SMB file sharing. Orbital Backup Configuration enables Time Machine to use SMB, using Microsoft's Launchpad installed on the Mac.
